Since 2004, Tobias Berben, co-owner of Hebsacker Verlag, has been responsible for the Deutsche Go-Zeitung as managing editor. Since issue 1/2005, Hebsacker Verlag has also been responsible for the production and dispatch of the journal.

The German Go Journal is the member newspaper of the German Go federation registered association and appears bimonthly with 48 to 64 sides and reports on the Go life in Germany, Europe and Far East. It also contains annotated amateur and professional games as well as theoretical articles and Go problems. A subscription cannot be acquired, but takes place automatically with a membership in the German Go Federation.
